Fairmont San Jose chef concierge inducted into Les Clefs d’Or USA Concierge Association, first in Silicon Valley history –

SAN JOSE, California – February 2, 2017 - Fairmont San Jose is proud to announce Les Clefs d‘Or USA has inducted Tavis Lampman, Chef Concierge at Fairmont San Jose, into the esteemed national association of professional hotel concierges. Mr. Lampman is the first Silicon Valley member in the organization’s thirty eight year history.

Les Clefs d’Or (pronounced “lay clay door”) is French and translates as “keys of gold.” Crossed gold keys displayed on hotel concierge lapels assure travelers they are dealing with a seasoned professional who is dedicated to serving their every need. Les Clefs d’Or concierges have a minimum of five years’ experience and have fulfilled intense membership and service requirements.

Dedicated to service excellence, Mr. Lampman has been a concierge at Fairmont San Jose for nearly 10 years. Lampman has been a member of the Silicon Valley Concierge Association (SVCA) for eight years and was awarded the SVCA ‘Best Concierge’ Award in both 2012 and 2015. During his tenure at Fairmont San Jose, he has received the Employee of the Month award a notable six times.

Lampman joins an elite group of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Les Clefs d’Or concierges. Mr. Thomas Wolfe, who brought the Concierge profession to the USA at The Fairmont in 1975, and presided over the United States’ admission as the 19^th section of Les Clefs d’Or in 1978, still practices the concierge craft at Fairmont San Francisco today and served as Lampman’s mentor. The California collection of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts now proudly has seven members of Les Clefs d’Or.
